It’s always fun to bump into friends at Fashion Week and who better to bump into than Nothing Bad’s favourite milliner of the moment, Piers Atkinson. “Fashion is everything darling,” he jokes when I ask him for a serious word on his new collection.

This season Piers has dropped his trademark mulitcolour palate in favour of black. Veils, billowing organza and threatening spikes mark a particularly menacing mood, evoking images of gothic glam widows.

“This collection is designed for steely women with a murderous edge.” Piers explains… and who would Piers most like to see his collection on? Without even a hesitation, “Dame Judi Dench”.

Piers Atkinson will be exhibiting all week at the British Fashion Council, Somerset house.
